The right career can provide meaning, purpose and inspiration for your life. However, that is not always the case. Sometimes, we start a job and then quickly find that it is not all that it was meant to be. Your boss might make the work environment a nightmare. Tasks seemed exciting in theory turn out to be drudgery in reality. That is where career counselling comes in.

In this process the counsellor and counselling participant will work together to identify the natural strengths and abilities that the participant has. This is done by going through a multi-faceted personality test, combined with an inventory of the participant’s interests. Then, the counsellor and participant look at corresponding career opportunities, talk about they different merits of each, and come up with a practical plan for the future. Often the perfect job is something you had never even heard of before!
